About Treadlite Designs
Treadlite Designs is a family-run residential and commercial building design business based in Geelong, proudly serving the Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and regional Victoria.
Our passion is creating custom home and commercial designs that are both beautiful and practical — with energy efficiency and sustainability built into every project.
We believe that great design starts with understanding the people who live in the home.
That’s why every Treadlite project begins with a personal design consultation. We take the time to sit with you, listen to your ideas, and explore how you want your home or business to look, feel, and function.
Our goal is to help every client design a home they truly love — one that’s comfortable, efficient, and tailored to their lifestyle and site.
Our Commitment to Sustainable Design
At Treadlite Designs, we incorporate smart, sustainable design strategies that enhance comfort and reduce running costs.
From solar orientation and natural ventilation to 7-Star energy rating compliance, we ensure each design works in harmony with the land and the local climate.
The result is a home that performs better year-round — environmentally, financially, and aesthetically.
Meet Brett — Principal Designer
Brett, the principal building designer and founder of Treadlite Designs, brings over 20 years of residential and commercial design experience to every project.
He completed an Advanced Diploma in Building Design (Architectural) at The Gordon in Geelong in 2005 and is a registered building practitioner and member of the Building Designers Association of Victoria (Design Matters National).
Before establishing Treadlite Designs, Brett began his career as an electrician and completed numerous trade and construction courses, gaining hands-on building knowledge that gives him a practical edge in design.
This rare combination of technical expertise and creative vision ensures every home is functional, compliant, and built to last.
Whether you’re building a new home or commercial space, renovating, or extending, Brett’s deep understanding of both design and construction means you’ll have a professional who genuinely cares about your project from start to finish.
